JEE Main is a national-level engineering entrance exam for admission into undergraduate engineering programs (B.E./B.Tech) at NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded institutions. It also serves as the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced, which is required for admission to the IITs.

• Paper 1: +4 for correct, -1 for incorrect answers

• Paper 2: MCQs: +4/-1; Drawing Test: subjective evaluation (out of 100)

• Unanswered questions: 0 marks

• Educational qualification: Passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects

• Year of passing: Candidates must have passed in 2023, 2024, or appearing in 2025

• Age limit: No specific age limit

• Number of attempts: Maximum of 3 consecutive years

Paper 2B (B.Plan):

• Understand NCERT thoroughly for Physics, Chemistry, and Maths

• Solve previous year papers and mock tests regularly

• Time management and accuracy are crucial

• Take timed quizzes and simulate exam conditions

• Revise formulas, concepts, and short tricks often

• JEE Main 2025 will be held in January and April 2025 in two sessions

• Candidates can appear in either or both sessions

• Best of the two scores will be considered for final ranking

• Application likely to start in November 2024

• Conducted by NTA twice a year

• Gateway to NITs, IIITs, and eligibility for JEE Advanced
